We are frequently asked how to prepare for the arrival of a refrigerated unit, and our dedicated team is on hand to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Below are some tips to help you understand the process.
We deliver containers to almost anywhere in the UK. However, it’s the responsibility of the user to ensure that the delivery truck can access the location without any obstacles standing in the way. Containers can be placed on natural or artificial surfaces, provided they are flat, dry, and not susceptible to erosion. In some cases, that means the user will have to clear out a plot of sufficient size for the chosen container type. Please note, users must allow at least 10ft of space in front of exterior machinery to allow correct airflow and access for the engineer.
Refrigerated containers have built-in cooling systems, but they require electricity to operate them. Energy consumption is moderate even when the temperature inside is kept at a very low level, so in most cases the container can simply be plugged in without the need to worry about overwhelming the network.
Containers can be locked from the outside. They are very secure and nearly impossible to breach. Still, when valuable goods are stored inside, users might require additional security. In open-air areas, putting up a gated fence around the container could be wise, while indoor or semi-enclosed locations can be secured with extra locks and alarms.
